Developing positive habits can be a very difficult thing to accomplish. This is something many people, including myself, struggle with day in and day out. It’s much easier to develop negative habits than positive habits. Usually, the habits that are best for us are the hardest to instill. On average, it takes about 60 days for a person to develop a habit. The trick here is to make sure the habits you’re developing are good habits.

You should try to instill these 10 daily habits into your life for the next 60 days. If you do so, they will become like second nature. These 10 habits will transform you into a healthier, more successful version of yourself.

1. Writing Down Goals

Writing down your goals is something that you must do daily. This is an extremely powerful habit that many people overlook. When your goals are written down in front of you, the chances of you completing these goals increases astronomically. Try it and you will see exactly what I’m talking about. There have been countless studies to back this up. This habit will drastically improve the rate of success you see in your life.

2. Exercise

Try to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day. This will improve your focus, mood, sleep patterns, and overall well-being. Exercise allows you to become a healthier version of yourself. After a workout, you will feel like a million dollars. Don’t get caught up on which exercises you need to do. Doing anything active is better than doing nothing at all. For those of you who say you don’t have enough time to exercise, it may be time to reprioritize your life. Try waking up earlier or cutting unnecessary things out of your day. 3. Planning for the Future

This is a tricky habit to develop. While it’s important to plan for the future, it’s also important to live in the here and now. The key is to find a balance. If you focus too much on the future, you may become unhappy with your life; however, planning for the future today will bring you one step closer to accomplishing your goals tomorrow. Planning for the future is a great thing, but don’t forget to live your life along the way; it goes by quick! Try to set aside 15 minutes a day to think of how you can get to where you want to be in the future.

4. Positive Mindset

Bad things can happen at any time. The way you handle these bad things is very important. Yes, sometimes life is unfortunate. We say, “Why do these things have to happen to me?” It may be hard, but try to avoid thinking like this. Imagine to yourself how much worse it could be. Many people would kill to have your “bad days.” Always put things in perspective and you will become a happier person.

5. Enough Alone Time

Spending time with others is great, but don’t be afraid to separate yourself from the busyness of the world and give yourself enough alone time. This is when you can assess yourself, see where you’re at, and determine where you need to improve. Aside to those, it’s also very relaxing.

6. Spending Time with Others

Spending time with other people is just as important as alone time. If you’re a very busy person, always try to make time for friends and family. Not only is this fun, but it will reduce the amount of stress in your life. You can use this as a temporary getaway from all of your tasks and responsibilities.

7. Waking Up Early

Nothing sucks more than waking up in the middle of the afternoon. By this point, half the day is already gone. The morning is a great time to get things done. Waking up early will allow you to finish tasks early on, leaving more time for relaxation later on in the day. 8. Find Things that Inspire You

Inspire yourself! It feels awesome and gives you hope for the future. Read, watch, or listen to whatever it may be that inspires you. The reason for this is in the future I would like to travel and film my experiences.

9. Laugh

Laughing improves quality of life. Some even say it makes you live longer (I have no idea if this is true or not, but it’s a comforting thing to believe in). Life can get very difficult at times, but never forget to laugh and smile. Don’t take life too seriously, it’s more fun when you don’t!

10. Read!

I can’t stress the importance of reading enough. Try to read for at least 30 minutes a day. There are practically endless amounts of books out there, so find something you like and get reading! You’ll become a much more intelligent and interesting person. I used to hate reading, but a couple months ago someone inspired me to start. Since then, I’ve read over 10 books and don’t regret a single second of it!
